I Love the Way You Love Me
Today officially marks 15 years of living in a fairy tale.
It is your typical fairy tale:
Boy meets girl.
Boy thinks girl is hot.
Girl thinks boy is weird.
They get married and live happily ever after.
Thank you sweetie for making my life one ginormously big happily ever after.

Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?
Oh. Never mind. Apparently Issaquah is Cowboy Central now.
I can't find a parking place for my horse!

Ebony and Ivory
When a nine year old plays her first concert without curling up in a ball in terror, it is a fact that to her parents it sounds more beautiful than a Yo Yo Ma concert.

Butterfly Kisses
As a birthday present, my six year old received some sort of butterfly breeding capsule. We watched these little worm things wrap themselves all up in a nasty looking blanket thing where they hung out for awhile until they finally came out and looked different. You know, they had wings and proboscis and stuff.
We found ourselves genuinely concerned for the well-being of these little critters, even though they weren't particularly friendly or engaging: No late night conversations with them, just chatting about life. No walks together in the park.
But we were all proud parents the day we opened the netting and set them free. Mentors. Nurturers. Liberators. That's what we are.
Now all we ask is for these butterflies to come back to visit from time to time.

I'll Tumble 4 Ya
This post title reminds me that I have no idea what most Culture Club songs really say. Did Boy George just not enunciate in his songs?
Okay, I can't stand it. I went and looked up the lyrics to this one. No wonder I can't understand him, the lyrics don't make any sense anyway.
Well, there's 2 minutes of my life I'll never get back. And now yours too.

The Boys Are Back
Yes, the boys are back.
Which boys, you ask? These boys. And these.
A lot has changed in a year - just look at that hair!

Note to the year 2023: Mothers, lock up your daughters.

One of my new favs. Yes, I play favorites.
